About Us
Space of Peace Organization (SOP) is a local humanitarian organization that was established in Syria and Turkey, it was legally registered in Turkey in 2016 NGO.
Space of peace focuses on providing Protection and Education along with providing an emergency response through core relief items distribution, sustainable development, and capacity building.
The main donors of the SOP are the UN OCHA Syria Cross Border Humanitarian Fund, IOM, UNICEF, WHH, IRC, GMO founded by Sida, Isha funded by USAID and private donors.
SOP has developed strong operational and managerial capacity is a relatively short time, it follows well-established policies and procedures, and it has been externally audited and monitored with very good results. The SOP is an active member of the protection, education, Shelter / NFI, FSL, Early Recovery, Health, CCCM and sochal cohesion, dialogue, and peacebuilding.
Protection
The protection sector in our organization contributes to reducing risks and mitigating the impact of individual, violence and coercion.
Education
Education is one of the mainly goals that our Organization seeks to achieve by re-equipping schools that have gone out of service.
FSL
The Food Security and Livelihoods Program focuses on projects that aim to break the cycle of poverty and meet emergency needs of food.
NFI
aims to provide safe shelter for internally displaced persons to healthy living conditions with privacy and dignity to groups of people.
Social cohesion
Social cohesion is defined as the willingness of members of a society to cooperate with each other to survive and prosper.
Peace building
peacebuilding describes the myriad methods employed by people all over the world to improve prospects for peace.
