NFI

The shelter program aims to provide safe shelter for internally displaced persons by providing healthy living conditions with privacy and dignity to groups of people and families. This occurs in various forms such as camps, temporary or permanent housing.

Other components of the program include the distribution of non-food items for daily life such as seasonal clothing, cooking equipment, shelter kits and heaters for humanitarian purposes.

As a result of the urgent need of our families inside Syria for the alternative shelter due to the increase and recurrence in forced displacement with the intensification of war in Syria.

 Space of peace contributed in 2016 to provide the alternative shelter and the required clothing, sleep needs, heating materials and other NFI.
The number of beneficiaries in this sector was hundreds of thousands of Syrians. 

Space Of peace provides support at the household level. “Gender of the HH, Marital Status of HHH, the total number of children, pregnant women, lactating (breastfeeding), widow, orphans (under 18 years old and without mother and father), Chronic Illness, Disability, Shelter, Income, Livelihood, new IDP & old IDP”.

Beneficiary identification, market identification, distribution of vouchers, monitoring and awareness-raising training on hygiene promotion are the main activities of the project.

The overall objectives of the Non-food items (NFIs):

The NFI project is to cover the NFI (hygiene, kitchen, and dignity items) needs of the most vulnerable Syrian IDPs and host community population. To improve the health situation of assessed vulnerable IDPs and host community through raising the life condition interim of hygiene.
